When I started reading this book I felt 2 stars are enough but as I reached to last six – comparatively portait – short stories my rating augmented to 5 stars with a broad smile on my face. I always enjoy Khushwant Singh Khushwqnt his soul rest in peace Narrated in the first person by an unnamed narrator the story is a memory piece and after reading the story the reader realises that Singh may be exploring the theme of innocence.
Overall a great entertaining read. This book is a collection to 40 of his short stories. Cite Post McManus, Dermot.

This too may be important as it not only suggests a strong bond between the narrator and his grandmother but also the fact that they have a strong connection with one another.
It is also noticeable that the grandmother is dedicated to God.
